It looks like a GT car, but under the skin, Martin Tomczyk's BMW M3 DTM racecar is a bespoke racing car. A carbon chassis, 480 horsepower and access to the full BMW factory Motorsport team. A good day at the office for Chris Harris.
This week on /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS, Chris gets intimate with BMW Team Schnitzer's 2013 DTM car. The car weighs in at around 1110kg, has a 4-liter V8, the brakes are all carbon disks. There's no ABS and no traction control, and the suspension comprises double wishbones all around.
Chris says it feels more like a single-seat race car than a GT. That's how far DTM racing technology has come. Pretty porny, to say the least.
