Road America's mega-racing weekend earlier this month has become Lollapalooza meets OzzFest meets Coachella, with racecars. You've got ALMS avant-garde, Grand Am metal and Porsche GT3 Cup finesse. And that is how you stretch a metaphor to its breaking point.

Anyway, for rounds nine and 10 of the 2013 Porsche IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama, drivers faced down the blindingly fast, technical Road America circuit at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The young drivers are looking to firm up their championship hopes for the season, as well as secure their chances to nab a pro ride sooner, rather than later. The older, "master class" racers are, naturally, looking to secure peak-earning-years bragging rights.

Of course, the platinum-class rivalry to watch remains among Angel Benitez, Jr. and Madison Snow, who fought a gladiatorial battle during the series' Round 7 weekend at Mosport, and Sloan Urry. It's some great racing for all, even as weather intervenes. Indeed, the nail-biting continues.
