It's hard to imagine, but the Buick Special was the Verano of its day. That is, Buick's entry-luxury model for salt-of-the-earth buyers. Of course, the '50's-era Special was like driving two Veranos at once. But not this one. This one's more special than that.

This week on /BIG MUSCLE, Mike Musto checks out a 1955 Buick Special modified by "Uncle Harry." And while many baby boomers probably had a real uncle Harry who drove a 1955 Buick Special, Harry Fisher isn't that guy.

Fisher added a 502ci big-block V8, modern suspension, and a new set of wheels — among other updates — that make this Special particularly special.
